Good employees with personal problems may become not-so-good workers. Not only may their individual performance be effected, but their performance issues may negatively impact on their co-workers. The goal of an employee assistance program (EAP) is to help "troubled" employees resolve personal situations so that they may again be fully productive. In this process, the services of an employee assistance program benefit employers by helping to contain company employment costs.
EAP Plus is based in Wichita, Kansas. As our name indicates, we are an employee assistance program. The company was established in 1995 and is a subsidiary of the Substance Abuse Assessment Center of Kansas (SAACK). EAP Plus provides services to more than 3,000 individuals including all Sedgwick County employees. Our "core" service area is an eight county region surrounding Wichita. However, through our association with other EAP providers, we can provide services throughout the state. We make it simple and easy for employees of client companies to access our network providers wherever they might live and work. EAP Plus is licensed by the State of Kansas to complete drug and alcohol assessments and perfom related case management activities. All clinical staff members are appropriately certified.
